Ericka Del Carmen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy top quality beans.

Ericka Del Carmen's story

Ericka is young, hardworking, and entrepreneurial. She is the mother of two children. She makes a living selling perfumes, nacatamales [a Nicaraguan dish similar to tamales], and güirilas [a kind of Nicaraguan tortilla].

She started this business selling fritanga [homestyle Nicaraguan food]. She later set up a convenience store, and she now sells nacatamales with support from her husband.

She opted for a Kiva loan with MiCrédito to buy top quality beans to take advantage of the prices, which are low.

In the coming years she hopes to buy her own land to be able to grow her own beans.
