La Amistad Group's story

This group is called "La Amistad." It's composed of women heads-of-household who are fighting for a better quality of life for their families. They are part of the poverty-elimination program, where all are fighting to rise up and get ahead.

One of the members is Tomasa, who has a small stall for selling beverages. She mentions that her goal is to be able to have a large business and, with it, to be able to give her family a dignified life. She describes herself as a person who is capable of doing anything in order to be able to help her loved ones so that they don't suffer want, as she had to do.

She's requesting this loan to be able to buy beverages of all types, and with them, to be able to stock up in order to be able to meet her clients' demands. She is thankful for the opportunity to join this group, which will be a lot of help for her.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but this is a group loan. It wasn't possible to take a group photo due to the need to avoid a gathering of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
