A loan helped to purchase eggs and other assorted items to increase her business.

Kadiatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 31-year-old Kadiatu from Wilberforce branch. She is married with four children between the ages of 5 and 8 years old, and all of the children are attending school. She started this business to support herself and care for her family's welfare.

Kadiatu runs a retail business selling eggs and other assorted item. She has been in this business for three years. Her other source of income comes from her husband’s business. Her main challenge is slow sales sometimes during this COVID-19.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase eggs and other assorted items to increase her business. Kadiatu says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her business and take care of her family. In the future, she would like to establish herself at a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
