Muong Phang 39 Group's story

Ms. Xuan, 33 years old, is a Thai ethnic woman who is married and has 2 daughters: the oldest daughter is in the 10th grade and the youngest daughter is in the 8th grade. Her family lives in a small house on stilts in the northern mountains of Vietnam, where agriculture is the main income activity.

Her husband works as a mason, and is the main income generator for the family. In addition, her husband also helps her with farming. She also raises pigs and fish to increase her family's income, and has money to cover school fees for her children. She always wants her children to have enough education to have a better future than her. Therefore, she always works very hard, striving to expand her husbandry business to improve the family economy. She has borrowed 5 rounds of loan at the Anh Chi Em program and successfully repaid, so she decided to get a 6th loan from the program to increase production. With this loan, she wants to invest in buying fingerlings because she realizes that fish are easy to raise and low risk. She hopes that her 3 years of experience together with technical support from the Anh Chi Em program, will ensure the investment will be successful and profitable.
