A loan helped to build a safe latrine at home.

Chandy's story

Chandy is 31 years old and is a married mother of two children, residing in the Bakan district of Pursat province. She devotes herself to farming with her husband for household income. Together, they can make around USD 8 per day to support themselves. She wants to be more successful in her family-owned agribusinesses and earn a good income to meet her daily living needs. However, the way she does farming is still based on the traditional method. As of now, her family members don't have a safe latrine for use at home.

So, she is requesting a loan to build a safe latrine at home. In this way she hopes to increase the value of her home and improve sanitation, ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment. With this loan support, she is able to purchase construction supplies such as bricks and cement to build a safe latrine and pay labor costs.

In the future, she aims to build a new small house and increase her land for farming purposes.

She sends thanks to all lenders for contributing their funds to help a poor person like her.
