Finau's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy raw materials for her craft business and also pay for her son's final term education fees.

Finau's story

Finau is a 44-year-old mother to only one son. She is married and they live in their own home.

Finau currently runs a craft business where she makes kiekie [traditional ornamental girdle] from raw materials such as coconut and hibiscus. She makes three to four kiekie in a week, and the price for each kiekie depends on the size, and the materials used. Finau usually uses coconut husks and shells to make the kiekie. This sort of kiekie takes time to finish but it is very expensive. She sells her kiekie to recent customers and also to random customers at the local market. She also sends some of her kiekie overseas, and receives larger amounts of money for them. She has applied for a loan hoping to buy raw materials for her craft business. Her dream is to one day have her own craft store where she can display all her work.
