Roda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more stock for their store like canned goods, noodles, seasonings, snack foods, drinks and toiletries and to buy seeds and fertilizer.

Roda's story

Roda is a resident of Lemery, Iloilo. She is 38 years old, married and has two dependents. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for many years. In addition to this, she and her husband run a small family farm where they grow vegetables and corn plants.

Now, she is asking for a loan of PHP 20,000 through Kiva’s field partner, CEVI, a microfinance NGO in the Philippines, which she will use to buy more stock for their store like canned goods, noodles, seasonings, snack foods, drinks and toiletries. The rest of the loan will be used to buy seeds and fertilizer.

Roda wants to augment their livelihood in the future and become productive.
