A loan helped to stock up on generic medications and specialty items to strengthen her initial capital.

L'oreal Group's story

Josephine is one of Hekima's clients and the leader of the L'oreal Group. She is married, fifty-years old and the mother of ten children, all of whom attend school. Her partner is a doctor.

She sells pharmaceutical products. She started this business seven years ago with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima's program to support her business, as it developed gradually. With this new loan, she plans to stock up on generic medications and specialty items to strengthen her initial capital. Her main business challenges are related to the exchange rate of the American dollar and to expired medications.

She would like her children to be able to continue their studies and she would also like to build her business. She would like to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners who lack access to traditional baking services, especially in the context of the Covid-19 global pandemic. Only the leader of the group is shown in the photo due to Covid-19.
