A loan helped to buy fertilizers and insecticides for her crops.

Vilma's story

Being a mother of seven children, Vilma needs to double her time to make enough income to provide for her children’s needs. She is 47 years old and married to Rolando, a farmer who grows corn on their farm. Farming is their family's main source of living.

To fulfill her children's needs, Vilma plants vegetable crops on their farm. She sells a variety of vegetables in her village during harvesting time. Sometimes, she also needs to buy vegetables at the market and sell them locally.

Vilma wishes to have additional capital for her vegetable production business. She is requesting a loan of PHP 15,000 to buy fertilizers and insecticides for her crops. She believes that applying enough farm inputs for the crops will enable her to harvest plenty of vegetables.
