Lizbeth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped local authors publish their work.
I find passion in helping others achieve their goals and dreams. Ever since I started my entrepreneurial journey, I knew that the best way to be successful in life was using my skills and knowledge to help others. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and even though my parents did not inculcate the habit of reading in us, I was always curious about books, and every time I entered a library or a bookstore, it felt like home. About a year ago, I opened an indie bookstore in my town, since we've been "literary orphans" since the closure of Borders. Throughout this year I have met many self-published authors who have told me how difficult it has been for them to publish. Most of them do not have a background or education in literature, and much less know how to market and sell their books. This is where me and my friend, now partner, Daryana decided to start our publishing company, right in the middle of a lock-down because of COVID-19. We named it Ediciones Enserio.
