Carlos Andres's story

Carlos Andres is a 19-year-old microentrepreneur from the city of Barranquilla who lives with his family. For 2 years, he has had a business sewing and selling clothing. His business idea came up thanks to his grandmother who has worked her whole life in sewing. After some time helping his grandmother with what she needed, the idea occurred to him to have a family business and, so, to have his own fixed assets, such that today he has a high level of assets.

Currently, he is responsible for the administration, and manages all the social media for advertising the business. These days, they produce clothing in a house and at his house, they sell them. He has 7 employees.

But, due to the COVID-19 pandemic which appeared on a global level, his work level dropped due to biosafety reasons and his income diminished drastically. For this reason, he joined the Atlántico Responde program to ask for his first Kiva loan, through Fundación Santo Domingo, with the objective of investing in the purchase of buttons, fabric, zippers, fabric, and paying general administrative costs. Support him in his business loan.
