Liberty's story
Liberty lives in Concepcion, Iloilo. She is 53 years old and married. To earn an income, she and her family fish. They have been in this livelihood for many years. Aside from fishing, she also runs a small store for additional income.
Now she is asking for a loan of PHP25, 000 through Kiva’s field partner, CEVI (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan to buy grocery items like toiletries, noodles, eggs, seasonings, snacks food and drinks. The rest will be used to buy fish trap materials like plastic screen, bamboo and nylon (string).
Liberty wants to improve her livelihood in the future and become successful.
