Faith's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy another dairy cow to increase her milk sales business.

Faith's story

The majority of smallholder farmers in Kenya, and mostly in the Meru area, struggle to make their way because they lack employment and money. This was true for Faith.

Faith is 24 years old. She has been practicing mixed farming for the past few years, and has managed to earn a decent income. Her primary sources of income have been milk, crops, and some personal business she engages in to make ends meet.

Faith passionately loves dairy farming. Her hobby is milking her cow. She sells milk to her neighbors and at the local market, but the demand has been overwhelming, and she cannot meet it.

For this reason, Faith requested a loan to buy an extra dairy cow, which will help to increase milk productivity and expand her milk sales business. The dairy cow she plans to buy is a quality breed that will produce rich creamy milk.

This extra production will immediately translate into higher profit margins and increased income levels. The profit from selling the extra milk will be used to repay the loan in full, and the extra income will be used to expand Faith's milk sales business. Faith dreams of paying for her children's education so that they will become professionals in the future.
