Marie's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more dried fish to sell.

Marie's story

Marie is a 47-year-old entrepreneur. She is a widow with 5 children; four of her children are currently in school. Marie attended school until 5th grade.

She is a hardworking business woman who sells dried fish in order to support her children at home. She sells 6 days a week and 6 hours daily. She has been running her business for 7 years.

To continue her business, she has asked for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner. With this loan, she will buy more dried fish to sell to her good clients. She likes her business because it helps to support her children and she is proud of her business because it has empowered her life.

Sales from the business will help shoot her profit margin high and also increase her cash inflow for her daily support and also grow the business. Marie wants to build houses for her children and continue their education in the future. Marie wishes to say thanks.
