A loan helped to build a safe latrine at home.

Sokhen's story

Sokhen, a 32-year-old resident of Kracheh province, has two children, both in school and needing daily allowances. She's hardworking and always seeking ways to generate income for her family ─ a garment worker, raising poultry and other jobs from which she's able to earn to satisfy their living needs. She's been engaged in these businesses more than two years. (Her supportive husband appears in the photo with her at their home.)

For now, Sokhen is requesting a loan to build a safe latrine at home. She hopes it will increase the value of her home and improve sanitation, ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard her family and protect the environment. With this loan, she's able to purchase construction supplies, such as bricks and cement, and pay labor costs to build a safe latrine. Sokhen thanks all lenders for contributing their funds to help.
