La Florida Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to maintain his parcel and invest in fertilizer, herbicides, and pruning to improve his cocoa production.

La Florida Group's story

The La Florida communal bank is composed of eight members and is led by Juan. He is the member on the left in the photo and is the president of the board of directors. The others in the photo are the secretary and treasurer. The three are the representatives of the communal bank, which is in its second cycle. It's worth mentioning that the La Florida group is made of 8 members but the current situation doesn't allow for everyone to assemble for the photo.

Juan is the president of the communal bank and is considered to be a very respectful, supportive, driven, and honest person. For ten years he has made a living by cultivating cocoa and fruit. He has two daughters, aged 8 and 3 years old.

He wants to acquire agricultural land to continue expanding his crops. He is currently requesting a loan through Kiva in order to maintain his parcel and invest in fertilizer, herbicide, and pruning to improve his cocoa production.

He wants to save to invest in his children's studies so they can become professionals.
