A loan helped to re-open her barbeque business.

Lu'isa's story

Lu'isa is 62 years old, and she is a widow with six grown up children. She lives with her youngest son and daughter at their own home. Lu'isa makes tapa for living. She is a member of a tapa group in their village, and together they make tapas once every week. Her business runs for many years, and her family benefitted from her business. She sells her tapas to some local buyers and also some of her relatives from overseas. Lu'isa and her daughter used to have their own barbeque as an additional business, but it was badly affected by the cyclone that hit Tonga in April. It has been closed ever since the cyclone. Now she applies for a loan to re-open her barbeque business because she used to make good money out of it. Help Lu'isa in trying to re-open her barbeque business by lending her your money.
