Maria Elena's story

María, 49, is single from being a widow. She has five children and lives with two of them in San Juan Pueblo, La Másica, Atlántida.

María started a new business to earn income. She sells basic staple products and plastic items. She works in her home. She has had several loans from ODEF, which she says have helped her a lot in the stability of her business.

Currently she's requesting a new loan for the sum of 10,000 lempiras to buy rice, sugar, soap, oil, beans, condiments, soft drinks, plastic items, and other things. This will help her to better stock her store and earn better income.

Her goal is to grow with her business and improve her financial stability and her family's.
