02 Luciernagas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy aguayo [multi-coloured wool cloth used as a shoulder bag, or for carrying a baby on one's back] wholesale to then sell.

02 Luciernagas Group's story

The communal bank “Luciérnagas”, which is part of the Agencia Los Andes, has nine members and is led by a board of directors, of which Martha is the president.

Martha is 36 years old. She is in a common-law marriage and has seven children. She has a business selling aguayo [multi-coloured wool cloth used as a shoulder bag, or for carrying a baby on one's back]. With the loan she will buy aguayo which she will purchase from wholesalers in the city of La Paz. She will then sell the products from her stall. This work allows her to earn an income to support her family financially. She hopes to expand her business and to provide for her family. Martha asks that people can trust in the communal bank again.
