Utukufu Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy corn flour and soybeans to bolster her initial capital.

Utukufu Group's story

Mme Jeanine is a client of IMF Hekima and is in charge of the business group called "Utukufu." She is 38 years old, married, and has five children who all go to school. Her partner is a driver.

She sells food and started her business 21 years ago with startup funding from her field. Later on, she joined Hekima's program to support her business, during which it grew over time.

With this new loan, she wants to buy corn flour and soybeans that will bolster her initial capital. The challenge with her business is a lack of clients.

She would like for her children to continue to go to school and she wants to continue to grow her business.

In closing, she wants to thank Hekima and their partners for the support they bring to non-bankable businesses—especially in the context of the COVID-19 global crisis. The photo is only of the group leader due to COVID-19.
