Usikilivu Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on peppers, cassava leaves, eggplant, and fruits to strengthen her initial capital.

Usikilivu Group's story

Jeannette is a client of Hekima and chairs the "Usikilivu" business group. She is married, 45 years old, and mother of six children who all attend school. Her partner is unemployed.

Jeannette sells fruits and vegetables. She started this business 24 years ago with start-up funds received from her husband. Later she got involved with the Hekima program to support her business, over the course of which she has progressively evolved. With this new loan, she will stock up on peppers, cassava leaves, eggplant, and fruits, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge in her business is linked to the lack of customers.

Jeannette would like for her children to continue their studies. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of non-bankable business owners in the context of the global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo only includes the group leader due to COVID-19.
