Tujenge Umoja Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy four tons of walnut palm and pay for the cost of machines and other products, which will strengthen her initial investment.

Tujenge Umoja Group's story

Ms. Esperance is a client of the Hekima IMF and head of the Tujenge Umoja groupe solidaire. She is a 57-year-old widowed mother of 10 children, four of whom attend school and six who are autonomous.

Ms. Esperance sells soap. She started this business five years ago with the start-up funds received from her rental houses. She later became involved with the Hekima program to support her business, during which time it gradually grew. With this new loan, she will pay for four tons of walnut palm, the cost of machines and other products, which will strengthen her initial investment. The challenge of her business is linked to the lack of customers and the instability of the dollar rate.

She would like to feed her family and develop her business. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support provided to owners of non-cash-value businesses during this global COVID-19 crisis.

The photo is only of the group leader because of COVID-19.
