Karl Jean's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy feed for their hogs; the rest will be used to buy pesticides and fertilizer for their farm.

Karl Jean's story

Karl Jean is a 32-year-old woman who has 2 dependents. She and her family live a simple dwelling in Concepcion, Iloilo.

To earn an income, she runs a hog-raising business. She has been in this business for many years. Aside from this, they also have a small farm where they grow rice plants.

She now requested the amount of PHP50,000 through KIVA’s field partner CEVI, (a micro-finance NGO) in the Philippines, which she will use to buy feed for their hogs. The rest will be used to buy pesticides and fertilizer for their farm.

Karl Jean wants to improve this business in the future for a better means of living.
