A loan helped to buy pig breeds.

Thanh An 36 Group's story

Mrs. Pang, 53 years old, is a Thai ethnic woman who is married and has five children: one boy and four girls. Her children have grown up and are working, so now, she only lives with her husband and mother-in-law in a house on stilts in Dien Bien province, where agriculture is the main income activity

Her husband is the head of the village and the main income generator for the family. In addition, her husband also helps her grow rice and raise pigs and chickens to earn extra income. In addition to farming, thanks to her prestige, she was also elected to be the leader of the village women's group. Although farm work as well as women's group work is very hard, she always tries to fulfill her duties well. In particular, in her work, she always works hard to expand her husbandry activities.

But due to a lack of capital, she decided to get a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to invest in buying pig breeds. Because the rice harvest is coming, she also wants to take advantage of the rice bran to feed the pigs to save the pig raising costs. She hopes that with her many years of experience in raising pigs, her pigs will be healthy and sell at high prices.
