Ellen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy noodles, canned foods, biscuits, tea and cooking oil for her general store business.

Ellen's story

Ellen is a 48-year-old woman who is married with four children and they live in a community in Honiara, capital of Solomon Island.

She owns and operates a small general store business selling rice, noodles, canned foods and biscuits in her community to earn a living. She has been in this business for six years.

Ellen has requested a loan to pay for additional noodles, canned foods, biscuits, tea and cooking oil to increase her stock and assist her in running her business.

She plans to use her profits to meet her family's weekly expenses and improve her business.

She joined SPBD in 2012 to gain access to financial services.
