Oscar's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped me to buy kitchen equipment and marketing for my Mexican and Tex Mex food business.
My name is Oscar and I am originally from Mexico City. Since I was very little, I have been very passionate about commerce, sales and entrepreneurship. I remember that at 10 years old I learned to make jellies and sold them to my neighbors. I was very successful. Only my neighbors didn't like me waking them up, but it gave me a lot of energy to make my first sale very early since for me that determined the success of my day. At the age of 17, I started a business selling jeans and jackets, in a short time about 1 year and a half I already had 3 branches and now I also sold in wholesale. Economically, I was doing very well and I was happy, however one day I had the opportunity to work at a bank and I did not hesitate to do so. I was curious and wanted to know the banking world, however, my entrepreneurial and creative spirit always returned to my mind, which sometimes made me feel so unhappy with my executive position at the bank. One day, I decided to start again and open a small restaurant in Mexico City, "El buen Sazon" (The great flavor). We had a very good acceptance and with it a lot of customers, this due to the good taste and good service, as well as good administration. I must admit that in the bank I learned a lot, especially service and administration. My restless spirit, my desire to practice English, as well as my business spirit, brought me to the USA 10 years ago. I have worked in the restaurant industry, fast food restaurants, as well as haute cuisine, such as: The Capital Grille (Downtown Pittsburgh), and Mallorca (South Side Pittsburgh). For the last 6 years, I have been General Manager of 2 Mexican Restaurants in Pittsburgh PA. I currently work at “La Palapa” which is considered one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. Today, thanks to my experience in the restaurant industry, as well as my knowledge of the English language, I am ready to undertake again, with great desire, goals and dreams that I wish to continue fulfilling. Thanks for your attention.
