Diama's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase equipment for her beauty salon.

Diama's story

Diama is a refugee, but more than that, she is a mother of one and a business owner. Since she opened her beauty salon, she has gained a good reputation in the camp and has grown to cater to many people.

It all started in 2008 when Diama and her family fled the violence in Congo due to political insecurities. After resettling in one of Rwanda's refugee camps, Diama quickly started her business to provide for her family.

After participating in AEC’s business training program focused on improving financial management and increasing sales, Diama is requesting a loan to grow her business even more.

This loan will help purchase equipment such as blow dryers, thereby offering her community more options and giving Diama the opportunity to build a better life for her family by growing her business.
