Emmanuel's story

Emmanuel is a young entrepreneur who started a grocery store in 2008. The business is located in the host community of the Mahama refugee camp in Rwanda. The grocery store is welcoming, with various products ranging from staple foods to home utilities. The business is located in the busiest part of the community with different ongoing activities. Most of the people in the area shop at his grocery store. The business has helped him facilitate most of the financial needs of his parents.

Emmanuel is passionate to grow his business even further and decided to attend the AEC/Inkomoko training, where he acquired skills like bookkeeping and great customer service. This has helped him have a clear picture of the business performance and boost his business reputation.

A loan to Emmanuel will help him purchase more inventory. He wants to keep a good reputation in the community by providing different products to satisfy the diverse community of both Rwandans and refugees coming from the neighboring countries.
