A loan helped to buy milks, cones, essences, and sugar, and make repairs to and maintain equipment.

Viviana Janeth's story

Viviana is 29 years old. She is married and has three children, ages fourteen, seven and six years old. They attend primary and high school. Viviana's husband is a street vendor; he sells ice creams. The family lives in a house that they own. The family lives in Picoazá, known for its trade and religious festivals, and for growing vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits. This area is a source of progress and the main centre of informal trade in Manabi.

Viviana, together with her husband, makes a living preparing and selling ice creams. They have a cart which carries special tanks for ice creams. Viviana's husband takes care of sales, going around various areas of the city. Viviana works every day.

The health crisis affected Viviana very badly at first as she could no longer sell anything but now, little by little, she is bringing her business back to life in order to continue generating an income.

Viviana will use this loan to buy milks, cones, essences, and sugar, and make repairs to and maintain equipment.

Viviana's dreams are to have an ice cream factory and for her family to enjoy good health.
