Lorpu's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more bananas and plantains to sell.

Lorpu's story

Lorpu is a 45-year-old entrepreneur. She is divorced and has 2 children who are 11 and 20 years old. Both of her children are attending school and living at home. Lorpu attended school up to 9th grade. She has a business selling fruits such as bananas, plantains, etc. For the past 15 years, she has been operating her business. She sells 6 days a week and 11 hours per day. She is requesting a Kiva loan to buy more bananas and plantains to sell in order to generate greater income. She plans to use the profits she earns to support her household’s basic needs and also to grow the business. She is proud of her business because it makes her an independent woman. In the future, she wants to become a big business woman and continue to send her children to school. Lorpu says thanks to all the lenders around the world.
