Phyless's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more rice and beans.

Phyless's story

Phyless is a 23-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in the Phalombe district in Malawi. She sells rice, beans and pigeon peas.

Phyless is requesting a Kiva loan to buy more rice and beans, giving her community access to commodities that are hard to come by during this COVID-19 period.

She plans to use the profit she earns to provide basic necessities for her mother and assist vulnerable children in her community with school materials. Phyless will repay the "social interest" on her second loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a member of the CAMFED Alumnae Association (CAMA), supporting the CAMA community by organizing and leading CAMA meetings and activities.
