A loan helped to build a safe latrine at home.

Loeum's story

Loeum, age 43, is a married housewife who lives with her family in the Chi Kraeng district, Siem Reap province. Loeum and her children depend on her husband's income. He is working as a construction worker and can earn approximately of only USD 9 per day. Her husband wants to be more successful in the family-owned business and earn a good income to meet daily living needs. Her husband is a strong working person and pays attention to the task, especially at the construction site.

As of now, she is requesting a loan to build a safe latrine at home. In this way she hopes to increase the value of her home, improve sanitation, ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment. With this loan support, she is able to purchase construction supplies such as bricks and cement to build a safe latrine and pay for labor. She sends thanks to all lenders for contributing their funds to help a poor fellow like her.
