Joan's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase farming inputs, such as high-nutrient fertilizers and certified seeds, to improve farm yields, make more profits, and support her family.

Joan's story

Joan, 57, is a mother living in Molo, a land of seemingly never-ending beauty. In this region, job opportunities are very scarce and the level of poverty is high. Joan is honest and hardworking. She gives everything to raise her children. With very few resources, she has pulled through. Joan is involved in dairy and maize farming.

Joan is seeking a loan to purchase farming inputs, such as high-nutrient fertilizers and certified seeds, to improve her farm yields, make more profits, and support her family. She plans to use part of the money to pay laborers, loaders, and transporters. Joan is optimistic that this year's harvest will be better than the previous season's.

Most microfinance organizations, particularly in her area, do not issue loans to smallholder farmers, but Juhudi Kilimo stands out because it is expanding into this market. Joan is very thankful for the warm consideration and helping hand. Please be inspired to make a loan during this tough time of the Covid-19 pandemic.
