Magdalena Rosario's story

Magdalena, 49, is a single mother with two adult children. They live in Manta, a city known for its beautiful beaches that attract many visitors all year round.

Magdalena is a micro-entrepreneur who works hard every day to obtain income honestly, and that is why two years ago, she started selling fast food such as “chuzos” [meat on a skewer], chicken wings, sausages, and others. The idea to start her business arose from the need to generate income that would help her pay the household expenses. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however, she had to suspend her work because of health concerns, and her income was drastically reduced. For this reason, she is requesting a loan to be able to re-activate her business.

She will invest this loan in the purchase of ingredients to prepare her fast food. Her dream is to continue growing her business.
