A loan helped to buy coconuts, peanuts, sesame, sugar, containers, bags, etc.

Cruz Maria's story

Cruz Maria is in a common-law marriage and has four children from this relationship. Her partner sells sweets as a street vendor. They live in their own home in Picoazá, known for its commerce and religious festivals and the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits.

Cruz Maria and her spouse prepare and sell artisanal sweets. They make cocada, peanuts with caramel, sesame, huevos moyos, troliches, [all typical Ecuadorian sweets] etc.

Her spouse sells and distributes the sweets to shops, on the street, the beach, and plazas, and in schools, etc. They regularly sell to merchants who come to purchase at their home.

The health crisis was very hard on her at first as she was unable to make sales, but now, little by little she is resuming in order to continue to generate income.

With this loan she will buy coconuts, peanuts, sesame, sugar, containers, bags, etc. Her dream is for her family to be in very good health and for her business to continue to grow.
