A loan helped to buy sheep for resale.

Mboga Yiif Ndack Group's story

Madame Oumy is the president of the Mboga Yiif Ndack Group which is comprised of eight members - seven women and one man. She is a 40-year-old breeder, widow and mother of six children aged between 3 and 15 years old, four of whom are attending school.

She is a solvent borrower who has been breeding sheep for over 15 years. She gets young animals weekly at the local markets and she resells them once they are fully grown. With her income, she pays for healthcare, food, education, hygiene products, etc. for her family, especially her children.

Oumy is borrowing money to buy sheep, feed, and vaccines to strengthen her business and increase her income. Some of the challenges she is facing include animal mortality due to the lack of veterinary care, diseases, and theft.
Her greatest wish is to have a large quantity of sheep.
