Martha .b.'s story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 40-year-old Martha from Wilberforce branch. She is married with four children between the ages of 11 and 21 years old, and all of them are attending school. She started this business to care for her family welfare.

Martha runs a retail business and sells slippers, clothes, fast food and other assorted items. She has been in this business for eight years. Her other source of income come from her husband’s business. Her main challenge is slow sales sometimes during this COVID-19.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase slippers, clothes, rice, sugar, limes, milk, and other assorted items to increase her business. Martha says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her business and take care of her family. In the future, she would like to establish into a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
