Gladys Marlene's story

Gladys Marlene is 68 years old. Her husband died several years ago, and her children are now grown. They live in the town of Jipijapa, known as the Sultan of Coffee. It has been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Gladys is a very hardworking woman. Despite her advanced age she seeks a way to make a living on her own, without depending on her children. She works selling clothes. Before the pandemic she would go out to sell and had very good sales. Now she only sells by phone and from her house.

Although her sales aren't what they used to be, at least she makes enough to live, and she continues to hope that things improve. This loan is to buy pants, shirts, and blouses, among other clothing items.
