Yesenia's story

Yesenia is a 29-year-old, single microentrepreneur who lives in Barranquilla with her children. She started her business out of a need to generate income for her household needs. This motivated her to open, out of her home, a variety store selling stationery, household utensils, perfumes, lotions, makeup, hair products, etc.

Yesenia’s business is located in a strategic point, where many people and vehicles circulate. Her main customers are neighbors, friends, referrals and people passing through the neighborhood. The pandemic affected her sales as well as her income. For this reason, Yesenia is seeking to mitigate the impact of Covid 19.

Yesenia is currently applying for a Kiva loan, the first funding she has sought from Fundación Santo Domingo, to purchase stationery, household utensils, perfumes, lotions, makeup, hair products, etc.

This single mother strives day after day to provide excellent service to her customers. For this reason, she would like to broaden the range of products she offers. Yesenia’s goal is to expand her commercial venue in order to build customer loyalty with a wide variety of merchandise and competitive prices.

Please support Yesenia in her loan! It will be a success.
