Rose's story

Rose is a 49-year-old mother of two living in Eldoret, a town that was significantly struck by the 2007–2008 Kenyan crisis when violence occurred in Kenya. She is a mixed dairy and crop farmer who has farmed for the past four years, enabling her to be able to support her family.

Rose is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs, which she will use to improve her production and make more income to support her family.

The Covid-19 pandemic has posed a significant threat to the economy of Kenya, causing a lot of uncertainties and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is in the forefront in combating this pandemic through supporting smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs in this difficult period.

Be inspired to support Rose with a loan today to light up her flames of hope for a better future.
