Malerato's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Malerato's story

Malerato is a 55-year-old woman who lives with 1 child in a traditional hut, without access to electricity. She relies on family support and struggles with the cost of buying multiple fuel and insufficient income. She spends most of her energy expenses on paraffin and gas, which costs up to LSL400 per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day, gathering fuel and filling other energy needs such as phone charging.

She bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help her and her family save the money spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar-powered.
