A loan helped to buy groceries.

Pabla Auxiliadora's story

Pabla is 36 years old. She is in a common-law marriage and has 2 adult children and two younger children aged 17 and 14. Her husband is a builder. They live in Manta, a charming city where tourists are attracted by the beautiful beaches and, especially, by the very humble and hard-working people who are dedicated to fishing.

Pabla is a micro-entrepreneur, who makes a daily effort to obtain her income honourably. This is why, 1 year ago, she began earning a living selling empanadas and corviches (fritters made of fish and plantain). Her business idea was born of necessity to generate income that would help her to support her husband with the household expenses, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic she had to suspend her work and her income decreased drastically for health reasons. This is why she is now asking for a new loan to be able to reactivate her business.

This loan will be invested in the purchase of groceries for making empanadas and corviches. Her dream is to have her own premises and for her business to continue growing.
