Magdalena Carmen's story

Magdalena Carmen is 57 years old, married, and has 2 adult children. Her spouse works in a mechanic shop. They live in her mother-in-law's house. They live in Bahía, which was affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016. Currently, it is rebuilding its infrastructure, businesses, and strengthening tourism. There is a health resort, lovely beaches, and one can do all the water sports.

Before, Magdalena Carmen sewed clothing and sold makeup from catalogs, but due to the pandemic, she left this work. Now she works making and selling bread - cinnamon, chocolate, and Oreo rolls. She makes these and delivers them on Saturday to her customers. Her family helps her with the home deliveries.

At first the health crisis was very bad for her since she was unable to sell but now, little by little, she is reactivating it so to be able to continue generating her income.

With this new loan, she will purchase flour, eggs, chocolate, molds, etc. Her dream is to own a house and that her family is very healthy.
