Luisa Fernanda's story

Luisa Fernanda, age 22, is a micro-entrepreneur who lives in the city of Barranquilla with her mother and her daughter. For one year, Luisa has had a miscellany store where she sell all types of items, such as beauty products, stationery, sweets, etc. She began the business with the help of her mother. She lives with her family and studies industrial engineering in the polytechnic institute on the Atlantic coast.

Luisa Fernanda requests a loan to invest in merchandise and to be able to get ahead with her studies. This merchant seeks to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and to boost reactivation of her business. She joined the program “Barranquilla Responde” led by the Chamber of Commerce and the District Mayor's office of Barranquilla to request a Kiva loan through the Fundación Santo. [This is] her first loan from FSD, and she will invest in the purchase of colognes, make-up, facial creams, powder, shampoo, sweets, chocolates, "osos", face powder, and other items. Support her loan; it will be a success.
