Gloria's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy wires, empty drums, iron roofing, timbers and nails for her cocoa drying business.

Gloria's story

Gloria is a 48-year-old woman who is a widow with two children and they live in a rural community outside Honiara, capital of Solomon Island.

She runs a small business drying wet cocoa beans and selling the dried beans to cocoa exporters in town to earn a living. She has been in this business for two years.

Gloria has requested a new loan to pay for additional wires, empty drums, iron roofing, timbers and nails to assist her with her business.

She plans to use her profits to meet her family's weekly expenses and improve her business.

She joined SPBD in 2019 to gain access to financial services.
