Fatu's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy more slippers to sell.
This is 29 year old Fatu. She is a single mother with three children, two of whom are in school. She is a hardworking business woman who sells slippers. Her uncle gives her money to start the business and her mother taught her how to sell. She uses a motor bike to transport supplies to her business site. She sells six days a week and 12 hours daily. She had asked for a loan through BRAC Liberia and KIVA Field Partner. The loan will be used to purchase more slippers to sell to her good clients. Fatu likes her business because it makes her an independent woman. In the future, she wants to build a house and give her children a good education. She wishes to say thanks.
