Rina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy materials for fish trap (known as bobo to locals) like plastic screen, bamboo and nylon (string).

Rina's story

Rina is a resident of Concepcion, Iloilo. She is 50 years old, married and has one dependent. To earn an income, she and her husband do fishing. They have been in this livelihood for many years.

Now she asks for a loan of PHP12,000 through Kiva’s field partner, CEVI (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan to buy materials for fish trap (known as bobo to locals) like plastic screen, bamboo and nylon (string).

Rina aspires to improve this livelihood in the future for her children’s education. She wants them to finish their studies.
