Triany Margarita's story

Triany Margarita is a microentrepreneur. She is 20 years old and lives with her family in the city of Cartagena.

Triany Margarita’s business is selling school kits that contain identification bracelets, a mechanically powered mini-flashlight, a small blanket, a rain poncho, a set of plasticware for eating, a set of school activity books to color, a set of thick crayons, a set of stickers, a set of modeling clay and other items. These items are offered in schools, which are her primary customers.

This commercial activity has made it possible for Triany Margarita to grow economically and become a familiar face in various schools in her area because she offers high-quality products and excellent prices. She has two years of experience and operation in this field. She started her business because, when she was young, she visited schools with an aunt who did the same work. From there, she decided to put all her effort into achieving the business she has today.

However, the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic has meant that her work has come to a standstill due to health concerns, and her income has drastically decreased. That is why Triany Margarita joined Programa Cartagena Responde to request her first Kiva loan with Fundación Santo Domingo. The goal is to invest in inputs such as working capital and the purchase of school supplies. Please support Triany Margarita’s business loan.
