Maria's story

Maria is a 56-year-old woman from Untesti village, Ungheni region of Moldova. She is married and lives with her husband. They have lived in their own house all their life. The house is large and spacious. Maria is a hardworking woman and besides housework, she manages to own a sheepfold of 50 sheep. She also processes one hectare of land. Cereals obtained from this land are used as animal feed. Valentina manages to obtain an ecological and top quality product from her sheep's milk. The cheese is sold at the market and to the people from the village. She managed to get many loyal customers because the cheese is tasty. The income she gets after selling the cheese is enough to support her family.

Now, Valentina needs a Kiva loan to buy another 50 sheep. As a result, she will be able to expand her business and her financial situation will improve.
