She wants to use this loan to buy more bags of charcoal. Margaret doesn’t incur any transport costs because she buys from her place of work. She has been in this business for five years. Besides this charcoal business, she also sells second hand clothes. Her major customers are her neighbors. She works seven days a week. Margaret's biggest challenges are seasonality and debtors. She aspires to educate her children up to university and to start going directly to villages for charcoal. She joined MCDT because they were giving out timely loans. She resides in and owns a two-room house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and food.
